Fill flash outside

Fill flash outside is photography technique in which the camera flash is deployed to illuminate the darker areas of an image, especially the subject. You should use fill flas when there is a shadow on the subject, the light behind the subject more than in front, and if you close enough to use fill flash. For portraits focus on keeping it subtle, place the subject in an angling position with the sun, and make use of a reflector. For macro photos think over the flash gun, adjust natural light with the flash, and ponder over the flash bracket. And for landscape photography make use of the fill flash to sparkle the foreground, gels are conducive for the color temperature adjustment, and focus on the natural look.

My favorite teacher with bounced flash

I like Mr. Park because he is a good teacher. Mr. Park is my math teacher and math is my strong suit. I like how he gives us time in class to work on out own. I also like how he gives extra time on an assignment if really needed. I like how he gives us worksheets because it is easier to learn from those. That is why Mr. Park is one of my 3 favorite teachers.

Mrs. Thomas is my 6th period teacher, she is also my cheer coach. She is very nice and funny but at the same time she is a great authority figure. Even though her 6th period class is only cheerleaders she still makes sure we stay on top of all of our work. Along with that we occasionally work out when we are not doing study hall which does keep me fit. She is an insirpation to me. If I really had to choose an adult to be like when i grow up it’d be her. And that is why is is one of my favorite teachers.

Mrs. Cauchon is my second period digital photography teacher. I like her class a lot because she gives us the freedom to work on our assignments. EVen though we have freedom she still makes sure to help anyone who needs it. Over the course of this school year I have learned a lot about photography and I am excited to learn more. The vibe of her classroom is also very enjoyable to me, there is always music in the back which I like. Her whimsical personality is probably what makes her an amazing teacher, and that is why she is one of my favorite teachers.

What every beginner needs to know

  1. setting the exposure using the histogram: the camera’s LCD screen might be a good way to tell if what you’re doing is right, but it’s not entirely reliable in conditions like harsh sunlight. The best way to tell if your exposure is correct is by consulting the histogram.
  2. RAW: Shooting in RAW format will give you access to the full capabilities of your camera.
  3. Selecting focus points manually: learning to change the AF points manually is a useful skill. It will improve focusing accuracy and reduce chances of missing important shots.
  4. Learn all AF modes: Most cameras come with different autofocus modes like One-shot AF, Servo AF and AI Autofocus. All of these modes have different uses, depending on subject and situation.
  5. Aperture priority: having complete control over aperture means control over depth of field. This is a great setting for shooting portraits with a blurred background.
  6. Shutter priority: gives you complete control over shutter speed while making all the other settings automatically, according to the selected value. This is a great setting for situations where you don’t want the shutter speed to go over or under a specific value.
  7. control motion blur: Motion blur often comes from using a shutter speed that is too slow for holding the camera in your hands. Every photographer has a maximum low speed they can use.
  8. manual white balance: All digital cameras have a few white balance presets. While they can do a fairly decent job, it is recommend learning to set white balance manually, according to each lighting situation.
  9. drive modes: The first mode allows you to shoot one frame at a time. It great for studio work or when shooting anything you have complete control over. CL is great for portraits when you have an expressive model and don’t want to miss any interesting faces. CH is the shooting mode for sports, wildlife and anything that moves fast.
  10. ISO: Lower values are great when there is plenty of light to work with. Higher ISO values are needed for working in low light.
  11. Auto ISO: auto ISO will help you when shooting hand held. It will increase or decrease the value in order to allow you to shoot with a shutter speed fast enough for hand held operation.
  12. exposure compensation: It is a +/- scale that will tell your camera to increase or decrease exposure, depending on your needs. It works for all semi-automatic modes (P, Av, TV) and will influence exposure in increments.
  13. manual exposure: full manual control

This photographers photos really caught my eye. Their timing for the photos seems perfect, especially with the first photo. They capured and really nice moment between 2 people. I also like it because not only did they get a nice moment, they also got the beautiful veiw in the back. Everything about that picture I enjoy. The second photo also is nice to me. It really captured the everyday life of these two children. It doesn’t feel like a rare moment when I see the photo. It feels like something I can see the kids doing again. Over all this photographer is very good at candid photos.
